Celebrate the holiday tradition with a decorative Yule Log cake by Chef Jennifer Smith.
The Yule Log, also known as the Buche de Noel, meaning the Christmas Log, is one of the traditional holiday cakes designed to remember the age-old practice of burning yule logs on Christmas eve.
As the name rightly suggests, the cake is designed in the shape of a yule log, complete with the moss, mushrooms and leaves that typically adorn it. Though French in origin, this cake is now popular in other parts of the world to celebrate the holiday season and bless the upcoming year.
