Bidding on Premiere Napa Valley Lots Now Open

2/6/2026 - Saint Helena, CA - Bidding is now open on lots in the 2026 Premiere Napa Valley wine auction. Licensed wine trade members may register to bid online at Sothebys.com or participate in person during Premiere week in Napa Valley.

The Premiere Napa Valley portfolio provides wine trade members exclusive offerings for their clientele, not available through any other channel. This year's auction includes 180 unique lots featuring 10 varieties primarily from the 2024 vintage.

Winemakers craft their most distinctive wines for the auction in lots ranging from 60 to 240 bottles, making these Napa Valley’s rarest commercial wines and offering buyers a way to differentiate their programs with truly singular offerings.

A First Look at the 2024 Vintage

Napa Valley’s 2024 vintage will debut at this year’s auction.

Early praise from critic Jeb Dunnuck underscores that "the 2024 vintage in Napa Valley is unquestionably another impressive vintage," and SOMM TV recently released a 2024 Vintage Update with winemakers expressing enthusiasm for the wines.

Bidders will be among the first to secure wines from the 2024 vintage with offerings from storied wineries such as Frank Family Vineyards, Inglenook, La Jota Vineyard Co., Nickel & Nickel, Quintessa, Rombauer Vineyards, Shafer Vineyards, Silver Oak, Spottswood Estate Vineyard & Winery and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars as well as newcomers Benevolent Neglect Wines, Brandon Gregory, Carte Blanche Wine, Hensel West, Pym-Rae and many more.

Market Conditions Signal Continued Strength for Napa Valley Wines

Recent data in the Sovos ShipCompliant and WineBusiness Analytics report points to sustained demand for Napa Valley in the fine wine market.

The report stated that "Napa clearly benefited from the willingness of customers at the high end of the market to continue buying compared to those at the lower end."

The report further notes that Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and red blends both exceeded the performance of the overall DtC shipping channel and that a "healthy demand for high-end Napa Chardonnay" is indicated by positive gains in shipping value.

This year's auction includes 130 lots of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 lots of red blends and five lots of Chardonnay.
