The Energy and Excitement of Auction Napa Valley Returns

4/4/2024 - Saint Helena, CA - Auction Napa Valley takes center stage the first weekend in June. The same energy and excitement of the live auction returns in a fresh and new format. As part of the Collective Napa Valley Auction Weekend, all proceeds will go toward youth mental health initiatives in Napa Valley.

The star-powered evening brings together some of the best names in wine and food for one night only. In attendance will be many notable winemakers and local wine personalities that make Napa Valley a top destination for wine lovers.

On offer in the live auction are once-in-a-lifetime wine and experiences from Dalla Valle Vineyards, Hourglass, Kenzo Estate, Screaming Eagle, Shafer Vineyards, Silver Oak, Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Staglin Family Vineyard and many more incredible wineries. Live lot highlights include rare vintages of Napa Valley wines from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, intimate meals with Napa Valley legends, once-in-a-lifetime trips, large format wines and exclusive winery experiences.

The evening begins with a sunset dinner among the gorgeous gardens and vineyards of Far Niente winery. Dinner will be prepared by Michelin-Starred Executive Chef Phillip Tessier of PRESS Restaurant. The restaurant is notable for its extensive Napa Valley wine list and cuisine that draws inspiration from around the globe while staying rooted in the style and ingredients that make the Napa Valley so special.

Chef Tessier's impressive culinary training includes having worked at three of the world’s most revered restaurants, Michelin three-starred Le Bernardin and Per Se in New York and The French Laundry in Yountville. Among his most recent achievements was earning a Michelin star for PRESS Restaurant in December 2023 just a few years after taking on the role of executive chef and partner.

The live auction is powered by Sotheby's and chaired by Jeff Smith and Carolyn Duryea of Hourglass winery. "We're so excited to be spearheading this year's event. To us Napa is about indelible memories. Our team is focused on bringing these to life in fresh and vivid fashion. The evening will be epic,” said Jeff Smith.
