Tickets Now on Sale for Collective Napa Valley Vintage Celebration Weekend November 4-5, 2022

9/19/2022 - Saint Helena, CA - Napa Valley Vintners announces that tickets are now available for the Collective Napa Valley Vintage Celebration, a fundrasing event taking place this November 4-5, to raise awareness and funds for protecting the future of Napa Valley. With a target of raising in excess $2 million, proceeds from this year’s Vintage Celebration will go toward addressing the most urgent environmental needs including fire prevention, mitigation efforts and restoration of forest lands.

“Our goal this fall is to contribute to our community’s efforts to protect the Napa Valley from the existential threat we are all facing from wildfires. We welcome Napa Valley supporters and wine enthusiasts to join us at the end of the harvest season to share stories of the vintage and help contribute to our forests’ health,” said Bart and Daphne Araujo, Co-Chairs of the Collective Napa Valley Vintage Celebration and proprietors of Accendo Cellars and Wheeler Farms.

All supporters of Napa Valley are invited to join in the fundraising effort by getting involved during the weekend of activities, donating directly to the Fund-a-Need campaign or purchasing spots in unique winery experiences. Details on the buy-a-spot winery experiences will be announced the week of October 3, 2022.

On Friday, November 4, all supporters are invited to tune into the live-streaming Vintage Report and be among the first to hear the latest about the 2022 harvest.

On Saturday, attendees begin the day with a “Boots on the Ground” experience at Newton Vineyard, Chappellet Vineyard or To Kalon Vineyard at Robert Mondavi Winery, with the opportunity to witness devastation from previous fires, view recovery efforts underway and understand the mitigation work already in process.

That evening, they will join winemakers at an elegant and festive Vintage Celebration at Opus One, with a dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Cristopher Kostow. At the Celebration, attendees will join vintners in sharing wines and raising their paddles for the Fund-a-Need campaign.

Funding will support Napa County Firewise Foundation and the Napa County Resource Conversation District. NVV has committed to:

  • Establish and maintain protective firebreaks over approximately 100 miles
  • Restore local urban and rural forests by planting more than 12,000 trees through the Million Tree program

This follows NVV’s most recent commitment of $25,000 for firefighting technology and $33,000 to sponsor one month of wildfire camera monitoring.

“Our community and our natural habitats were significantly impacted by wildfires in 2017 and 2020. Our goal is to support Napa County’s actions to protect and renew our forests going forward,” said Dawnine Dyer, chair of the NVV’s Fire Prevention and Mitigation Committee.
