6/1/2019 - St. Helena, CA - Reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration with which the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) was first founded 75 years ago, the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) is projecting nearly $12 million in fundraising for its 39th annual Auction Napa Valley when the online E-Auction ends at noon on Monday, June 3. Proceeds from this weekend’s events support community health and children’s education in Napa County.
Under perfect periwinkle skies, today’s Live Auction was kicked off by none other than Katy Perry.
“I think that Katy Perry said it beautifully when talking about why we’re here today -'be kind and drink wine,’” said Paula Kornell, chair of this year’s Live Auction Celebration. “The kindness and generosity of both bidders and our vintners came together today to create an ongoing legacy of lives made stronger and more whole.”
The NVV will release additional results, including top Live, Barrel and E-Auction lots on Monday afternoon. Photos and a social media gallery of more than 3,000 posts highlighting the weekend's festivities are available at auctionnapavalley.org.
