12/3/2009 - St Helena, CA--The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) announce that Patsy McGaughy has been promoted to Marketing Director for the non-profit trade association representing 375 member wineries in the legendary Napa Valley. McGaughy, who has worked for the NVV since 2000, will transition to her new role beginning January 1.

"Patsy has been a dedicated member of our team for nine years and we are thrilled to bring her strategic thinking and planning to its best potential in her new role as marketing director. She is well respected among the vintner community as well with trade and market influencers--this promises to be an exciting move for the NVV," said NVV's Executive Director Linda Reiff.

She currently serves as NVV member relations manager. During her tenure, the membership has more than doubled and she has taken member programs and activities to a new level of excellence. The association's member resources and workshops in areas such as marketing strategy, direct to consumer and trade sales strategies have served the organization well.

Prior to joining the NVV, Patsy spent more than ten years in advertising sales--including work with an award-winning advertising agency. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications, has served in leadership roles in community service organizations and is a graduate of Leadership Napa Valley

The NVV is the non-profit trade association responsible for promoting and protecting the Napa Valley appellation as the premier winegrowing region.
