Napa's Pajama Party--Auction Napa Valley's Online E-Auction Opens!

 

 

5/21/2009 - St Helena, CA--The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) non-profit trade association announces the opening of the online component of its annual Auction Napa Valley fundraiser tomorrow morning at 8:00 am PDT. This online segment of the renowned charity wine auction allows wine lovers from around the world to participate and win some of the world's finest wines and more.

One of three auctions included in Auction Napa Valley 2009, the E-Auction features 113 lots--33 more lots than last year--including one-of-a-kind wine collections and bottlings, private vintner dinners and wine country experiences, and more. E-Auction lots can be viewed and consumers can register online to bid at www.napavintners.com. And on June 5, the action will heat up, as bidders at Auction Napa Valley festivities in the Napa Valley duel with online bidders around the globe for these treasures as the auction draws to a close in two waves, at 2:00 and 2:30p.m. PDT. Bidders will be able to find out the real-time results via on-site screens at the auction or from the comfort of their own homes.

"We are telling folks, 'it's Napa in your pajamas' as folks can bid from anywhere in the world and they can bid from the comfort of their pajamas--or barefoot!" said Paula Kornell, president of the NVV's board of directors. "Who knows, we could be on to something like a world-wide pajama party for charity. Our goal is to have some fun while raising much-need funds for our healthcare, youth and housing non-profit programs."

Key dates for the E-Auction include:
May 22: E-Auction launches and bidding begins.
June 5: E-Auction closes and bidding ends.
