Although the most renowned in the United States, the Napa Valley AVA is also one of the smallest yet most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Accordingly, our vintners are as unique as the Napa Valley wines they produce. Given that 95% of Napa Valley’s wineries are family owned and nearly 80% make less than 10,000 cases of wine per year, most wineries can be described as small, artisan producers. These vintners share a commitment to blending historical practices and achievement with an eye toward innovation, quality and prosperity for the Napa Valley.
Our ongoing series, Vintner Vignettes, will introduce you to some of the people behind Napa Valley’s exceptional wines.
