Become truly, madly, deeply entranced by the paintings of gallery artist Kate Salenfriend, as we present new works throughout February at Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley in Yountville and I. Wolk Gallery in St. Helena.
Growing up on an almond farm in the San Joaquin Valley, Salenfriend obtained most of her artistic training from her great-grandfather Stewart Robertson, a registered California painter. Her agrarian upbringing, along with a move to Napa Valley, greatly influences the way she envisions and paints. Inspired by the works of symbolist painter Gustav Klimt, Salenfriend works with layers of gold metal and silver leafing to create stunning derivatives of the agriculture efforts on the landscape, nature’s seasonality, and the emotions that confront us when taking these scenes in. Nature and the beauty that surrounds the Valley is her inspiration. Her interpretations of the landscape are emotionally vibrant and torrid, or peaceful and serene.

Visit Ma(i)sonry & I. Wolk Gallery throughout February to admire and acquire Salenfriend’s stunning works of art.
