Festa Italiana
Mid-August marks Inglenook's annual Harvest Party, and this year we're celebrating the event in the exuberant style of an Italian Street Festival!
Under a canopy of sparkly lights crisscrossed with small banners of red, white and green, the Chateau's Courtyard will be brimming with the same bustle as any one of the numerous public squares throughout Italy honoring the very same occasion in the very same way. Ferragosto, the August Holidays, is a tradition rooted in ancient Roman custom that recognizes the end of the harvest season and the start of summer relaxation. With a sensual blend of aromas, sounds, sights, and activities (except for the horse races) Inglenook's Festa will keep the lighthearted spirit of Italy alive.
Sip Inglenook wines while exploring the food booths that will line the Courtyard's pathways. You'll be able to indulge in a range of Italian taste sensations, such as wood fired pizza, "Uncle Mikey's" sausage and peppers, spiedini, hand-pulled mozzarella, fresh fruit, and a variety of desserts----all while enjoying the strains of popular Italian favorites, as an accordion player roams the Courtyard with a repertoire rich enough to accept your requests. Later in the evening we'll all be dancing to the exhilarating rhythms of Neon Velvet, a group known for playing favorite oldies and current hit songs to deliver a Dance Party bar none.
We have all the mixings for a grand time, but the most important ingredient is the one that sets it in motion-your presence. We'd be delighted if you'd join us in celebrating this cheerful, seasonal event.
