Founded in 2014, Castiel Estate focuses solely on its limited production, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, perfectly reflective of its time and place. Nestled within a steep forested hillside and surrounded by prestigious vineyard neighbors, the grapevines are farmed by legendary viticulturist Jim Barbour and the wine is expertly crafted by talented winemaker Celia Welch. Expressing the hallmark qualities of an artisan Howell Mountain Cabernet, the wine consistently displays concentrated fruit, powerful richness, and integrated tannins, with Celia’s signature touch. An average of only 350 cases are made each vintage, beginning with the 2014, the highly acclaimed 2016, and the newly released 2017. Castiel Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the culmination of owners Dave and Kathleen DiCesaris’ passionate vision, a reverence for the vineyard site, and perfect timing.
