2006 Auction Napa Valley Tickets on Sale March 15;

3/13/2006 - St. Helena, Calif. - Napa Valley Vintners, the non-profit, professional trade organization representing 270 Napa Valley wineries and responsible for the promotion and protection of the Napa Valley Appellation, announces that tickets for Auction Napa Valley 26, to be held June 1-4, will go on sale at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15. Interested parties can log on to www.napavintners.com to purchase complete packages, new a la carte options or single tickets. Quantities are limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged. Proud to be at the forefront of charity wine auctions - having raised and distributed more than $62 million in its 25-year history for social service and health care organizations - this year's Auction Napa Valley promises to continue the legacy of incredible wine and excellent hospitality with signature events throughout Napa Valley.

2006 Highlights
The 2006 auction will feature rare and one-of-a-kind lots at the main event, Saturday evening's live auction, extended bidding hours at the perennial favorite barrel auction and a new twist on the e-auction. This year the e-auction will open for viewing and pre-bidding online as of May 19 when wine lovers across the globe will be able to log on and bid on e-auction lots. In addition, a new Saturday morning open house event has been added to the schedule. Full package ticket holders will be invited to COPIA, the American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts, for breakfast, cooking demos and wine tasting with vintners. Also, for the first time, new ticket package options will be available. While all access tickets are $7,500 per couple and offer admission to the full range of auction weekend events, this year wine lovers are able to purchase single tickets for Saturday night's live auction for $3,500 per couple or tickets for a full day of activities on Friday including the Friday Festival and an evening hospitality event for $3,500 per couple.

Friday Auction & Festival
After a successful inaugural year, the Friday Auction & Festival featuring "Pride in Season" returns to Trinchero Family Estates on Friday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature wineries pouring their latest releases; top Napa restaurants and local specialty food purveyors; live entertainment; barrel tasting and auction of 107 lots (1,070 cases); e-auction featuring 52 lots comprised of rare wine and wine collections. Twelve hundred single tickets to the Friday event can be purchased for $200 per person, and all ticket holders are eligible to bid on either the barrel or e-auctions.

Live Auction Lot Packages
The centerpiece of Auction Napa Valley, Saturday night's live main event, held at Meadowood Napa Valley with celebrity host Ryan Seacrest, will feature 60 truly exceptional lots. The auction will be followed by The Party - a walk around fete featuring celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, live music, dancing and of course the best wines from Napa Valley.

- Good Morning Napa -- featuring cooking demos, wine tasting with vintners at COPIA, The American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts.

- Pre-auction reception, live auction and "The Party" held at the world-renown Meadowood Napa Valley

Sunday, June 4
- Winery open houses throughout Napa Valley.
