Napa Valley Vintners and Napa Valley Grapegrowers Invite Neighbors to Afternoon in the Vineyards

Vineyard open house event to highlight sustainable vineyard practices and agricultural land preservation

4/20/2015 - Napa, CA – The Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) and Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) invite Napa County residents to the 15th annual Afternoon in the Vineyards event on Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free open house-style event gives neighbors the chance to meet local vineyard owners, ask questions and learn about quality grapegrowing practices in the Napa Valley.

“When our two organizations started this event fifteen years ago, I don’t think we had any idea how popular it would become with the community,” said Steve Moulds, president of the Napa Valley Grapegrowers. “Napa Valley residents are curious about what goes on in the vineyards near their home and this is a fantastic way for them to learn more about our region’s commitment to sustainability and protecting agriculture while also growing some of the highest quality wine grapes in the world.”

This year’s host vineyards include:

  • Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, 1 Kirkland Ranch Road, American Canyon

  • Brown Ranch Vineyard – Renteria Wines, 4254 Old Sonoma Road, Napa

  • Boyd Family Vineyards, 4042 Big Ranch Road, Napa

  • Cliff Lede Vineyards, 1473 Yountville Cross Road, Yountville

  • Teaderman Vineyards, 855 Oakville Cross Road, Oakville

  • Casa Nuestra Winery & Vineyards, 3451 Silverado Trail North, St. Helena

  • Residents are encouraged to visit the vineyard closest to them.

“Our vineyard hosts look forward to meeting our neighbors on May 2,” commented David Duncan, chair of the NVV Board of Directors. “Everyone who lives in Napa Valley is a part of the wine community. We all value and enjoy a wonderful quality of life here and Afternoon in the Vineyards is a way for us to come together to celebrate what makes Napa Valley such a unique and special place.”

No RSVP is required to attend and Afternoon in the Vineyards will take place rain or shine. For more information, visit napavintners.com or napagrowers.org.
