Auction Napa Valley 2014 Tickets Now Available

Live Auction at Meadowood Napa Valley and Barrel Auction at historic Charles Krug will showcase the region’s scenic beauty and its talented winemakers and chefs

1/31/2014 - St. Helena, CA--Tickets are now available for the world's most celebrated annual charity wine event, Auction Napa Valley: The American Wine Classic. Hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) nonprofit trade association and taking place from June 5 to 7, this year's festivities will showcase the area's extraordinary vineyards, breathtaking vistas and architecturally interesting private homes and wineries, along with the diverse styles, talents and warm-hearted hospitality of Napa Valley's world-class winemakers and chefs.

Auction Napa Valley sold out in record time last year, attesting to the event's must-attend, hot-ticket cachet. Guests can join the fun for one or all three days and packages include The Complete Auction Napa Valley Experience, Saturday's Live Auction Celebration and Friday at the Auction, all of which invite guests to take part in the "Sweet Home Napa Valley" feeling of this year's celebration.

To date, the NVV has given more than $120 million in Auction Napa Valley proceeds to nonprofits in Napa County, making measurable differences in the lives of tens of thousands of Napa County's most vulnerable citizens. Thanks in part to this funding, every child in Napa County has access to health insurance, more than 30,000 residents are served annually by Community Health Clinic Ole, and the closing of the educational achievement gap in Napa County is closer to becoming a reality.

The centerpiece of Auction Napa Valley, Saturday's Live Auction Celebration takes place on the lush grounds of Meadowood Napa Valley. The day starts with a casual al fresco lunch by many of Napa Valley’s most noted chefs, including "Masters of the Savory" Stephen Barber, Michael Chiarello, Curtis DeFede, Thomas Keller, Cindy Pawlcyn, Richard Reddington, Brandon Sharp, Hiro Sone and Jude Wilmoth, along with "Masters of the Sweet" Tracy Wood Anderson, Chris Kollar and Wendy Sherwood. The highlight of the afternoon is the Live Auction featuring bidding on extraordinary lots of Napa Valley wine and wine-related experiences. Evening will find guests seated under the stars for dinner prepared by renowned Chef Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood, followed by music and dancing.

New this year are the Thursday Vintner Welcome Parties, where the region's collaborative vintner camaraderie will be highlighted at collective parties showcasing Napa Valley's relaxed, down-to-earth side. At Friday's Napa Valley Barrel Auction in the historic Redwood Cellar at Charles Krug, guests will mix and mingle with 100 Napa Valley winemakers while tasting wine samples directly from the barrel and bidding on the limited offering wines. Outside on Krug's tree-shaded grounds, the Marketplace will feature dozens of wineries pouring current releases served alongside bites from 40 of the region's restaurants and food purveyors. Guests at Friday night's Vintner Hosted Dinners will enjoy one-of-a-kind dinners with vintners as they open their homes and wineries for intimate and memorable meals.
