Earth Day weekend will be celebrated on Mount Veeder at The Hess Collection with vineyard walks and an optional picnic lunch prepared by Hess Executive Chef Chad Hendrickson. Reservations, available online, are strongly suggested.

Earth Day Vineyard Immersion Walk With Lunch ��������� Beginning on Friday, April 18 and continuing through Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, guests are invited to join a vineyard immersion walk beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Departing from The Hess Collection Visitor Center, the tour will walk into the Mont La Salle vineyard and learn about sustainable Napa Green vineyard practices, including trellising, clones, spacing and its impact on vine production and much more. In the Redwood Grove that is an integral part of the vineyard, tour participants will enjoy a roasted chicken or vegetarian boxed lunch prepared by Chef Chad along with the Hess Small Block Series Pinot Gris from Mount Veeder. After lunch, guests may return to the Visitors Center and enjoy a current release wine tasting, and explore The Hess Art Collection. This is a moderate hike, requiring proper footwear and sun protection. Cost is $65 per person and the tour is designed to last two hours, prior to visiting the tasting room and art collection. Earth Day Vineyard Walkabout With Wine Tasting ��������� Beginning on Friday, April 18 and continuing through Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, guests are invited to join an Earth Day Vineyard Walkabout beginning each day at 2:30 p.m.

Departing from The Hess Collection Visitor Center, the tour will walk into the Mont La Salle vineyard and learn about sustainable Napa Green vineyard practices, including trellising, clones, spacing and its impact on vine production. The first stop will be in the organically farmed Brother Timothy Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon block first planted in 1936 by the famed Napa winemaker, featuring head pruned vines, and continuing on to more recently planted blocks with tight spacing and newer trellising systems. Following the tour guests may return to the Visitors Center and enjoy a current release wine tasting, and explore The Hess Art Collection. This is a moderate hike, requiring proper footwear and sun protection. Cost is $30 per person and the tour is designed to last 60 minutes, prior to visiting the tasting room and art collection. The Hess Collection is certified sustainable as part of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance and the Napa Green program for both winery and vineyards. Hess Collection Small Block Series limited release wines generate donations to local environmental groups through the 1% For The Planet organization.
